Chapter Newsletter for August

SLOW DOWN 2020! It's mid-August. WHAT?

We have more changes to include major announcements from our AACN national office. First, the "national office" is now known as "home office." Second, our home office is strongly encouraging all members to protect themselves as we continue to battle the pandemic. That protection includes delaying ALL in-person chapter meetings and social events for the rest of the year. With this shift in meeting style, Land of the Pines board members is working hard to communicate with its members via Instagram, Facebook and our website. Although we can not meet together we will continue to push forward any online educational opportunities so we, all, can continue to grow in our profession. If you have any education you want to be forwarded to the rest of the chapter, please contact me.

A HUGE thank you to both Ryan Jones and Tiffany Gill for everything you have contributed to our chapter. We are so excited for both of your next adventures. Welcome aboard Mary Stacy Thornton and Clemy Jaimes. The positions of membership chair and social chair are vital to the core of the chapter and we are grateful you, both, stepped up. You can see the board members by clicking on the "Board of Directors" tab. For the rest of our amazing chapter members who have moved onto different positions, towns, states, and chapters, we are thrilled for your advancements and growth. 

Please don't forget that AACN has a national online support group for us. You will find it on the AACN website. Also, there are multiple webinars to study for your certifications.
